The students of Class XII thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Kodaikanal, a refreshing break from routine that blended adventure, learning and laughter. Surrounded by misty hills and scenic landscapes, the students explored popular attractions such as Coaker’s Walk, Bryant Park, and the serene Kodaikanal Lake. The trip provided valuable opportunities for the students to bond with their peers, participate in enjoyable group activities, and create unforgettable memories. It was a delightful experience that beautifully combined nature, relaxation and a much-needed sense of joy.
The entire school gathered to consecrate themselves and the institution to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Fr. George Chinnappan inspired the students by sharing a story about the sacrifice and love of Jesus. Holding up the Cross, he urged the children to pray and dedicate themselves to the love of Jesus on the Cross. Surrendering each student to the love of Jesus, he visited every class and blessed the children with holy water.
The sessions were conducted by Rev. Fr. George Chinnappan SDB. Parents appreciated the sessions, describing them as wonderful, impactful and meaningful. Fr George emphasised how a happy relationship between the father and mother positively influences a child’s development. The sessions also highlighted how the school and parents can work together in nurturing a child’s growth. Each session concluded with feedback from the parents.
The students of Std. IV attended a programme conducted by Spark on the topic ‘Values of Life’. The resource person, Mrs Rajeevi, inspired the children by emphasising the importance of values in their lives. Values such as honesty, fairness, truthfulness, kindness, unity, teamwork, and gratitude were highlighted during the session. The efforts taken by Spark to make a positive impact on the lives of the children are truly appreciated.
It was with great anticipation we began the programme. It is with deep respect and joy that we welcome our Chief Guest Mrs. Argia Devotta, a teacher whose journey in education span over 50 years is remarkable. A mentor, a guide and a true pillar of this institution has shaped not just minds, but hearts. We are honoured by her presence. With wisdom and warmth, she inspired the students through her powerful thought-provoking speech.
It is a proud movement for our captains who is marching forward to hold up their responsibilities. As the captains accept their badges from our Headmistress Rev. Sr. Celine, they take an oath. As each captain take the oath, we remember that leadership is more than holding a title, it is about setting an example inspiring others and creating a positive impact.
We are deeply honoured to have Rev. Fr. Arumainathan, bless our newly renovated auditorium. His presence brought a sense of grace, hope and spiritual strength to this special occasion. As he offered his heartfelt prayers, he reminded us that every space we built is not just made of bricks and beams, but of dreams, dedication and divine purpose. This auditorium will now stand only as a centre for learning and creativity but also as a space filled with blessings, values and vibrant community spirit. We thank Father for sanctifying this space and marking a beautiful new beginning for all of us.
An orientation programme was organised for all the teachers. Fr. Dominic Bernard Shaw – Don Bosco was the resource person. It was an energetic and activity-based session. Father impressed the teachers with his innovations. The session was started with a video clip from a Hollywood film based on the Story of a special child in the class room. The session was very interactive with activities like storytelling, group discussion, mimicry etc.
On 5th June the teachers and students of Eco Club organised the World Environmental day celebrations.
BIO-FIELD TRIP- (Std XI & XII)
The students of Std. XI and XII (Biology) were taken on a field trip to a science exhibition conducted by Tuticorin Medical College to commemorate its 25th anniversary. They were guided through a wide range of medical presentations and concepts, including real-life emergencies and their prevention, presented with a touch of humour. The students also observed real preserved human organs, which helped them gain an in-depth understanding of the functions of the human body. The visit rekindled the interest of aspiring doctors and provided them with valuable insights into the responsibilities they may undertake in the future.
